1. "SNIP" Community Spay Neuter Days
Through a partnership with a spay neuter clinic
and local veterinarians we have organized "SNIP" Community Spay Neuter Days in order to provide affordable high
quality low cost spay neuter surgeries for your pets, and also for free roaming or feral cats.
"SNIP" registers pets, takes care of the pre-surgery paperwork, scheduling,
phone calls with pet owners, collecting monies along with providing cat carriers or dog crates. We also have live traps that
we can loan you for feral cats.
We provide the
transportion, at no cost, on our Community Days to a spay neuter clinic or local veterinary office for spay/neuter surgeries.
We meet pet owners at locations in Greenwood, Martinsville, Mooresville, and/or Plainfield
early morning to pick up pets (7:45 to 8:15), then we return the pets around 6pm the same day. (You do not have to live in
those areas to bring your pet, we have had folks drive to meet us from New Castle, Edinburgh, Rushville)
Purpose of the "SNIP" Community Spay Neuter Days is
to make it convenient for the elderly, persons in rural areas, or families who have very busy schedules to obtain high
quality spay neuter services for their pets at affordable and lower prices.
This is the third year for this very popular program. Grants and donations from
the public are how we are able to keep the surgery costs low through this program, in an effort to lower pet overpopulation.
Our spay/neuter prices are: Male
Cats $30, Female cats $35, Feral Cats $35 (includes rabies, ear tip), Dogs $50, Rabbits F $50, M $30. Limited slots
for dogs over 30 lbs, please call us first. Our services are for the public only, they are not available to breeders.
Indiana law requires dogs and cats be current
on their rabies vaccination, if your pet is not current they can get it the day of surgery and it is just $10. Either include
this in your payment for surgery or you can pay for the rabies vaccination the morning of surgery.
We post our upcoming Community Days with transportation to
the SPOT clinic near Cloverdale (owned by Dr. Nancy Ferguson, nationally known spay neuter surgeon) or to a private
veterinarian clinic on the South side of Indianapolis, usually a couple weeks prior to the date on this page. You must
register your pet and pay for the surgery at least 2 days prior to any Community Day in order that we can finalize
paperwork.
