1. "SNIP" Community Spay Neuter Days
Through a partnership with a spay neuter clinic
and local veterinarians we have organized "SNIP" Community Spay Neuter Days in order to provide affordable high
quality low cost spay neuter surgeries for your pets, and also for free roaming or feral cats.
"SNIP" registers pets, takes care of the pre-surgery paperwork, scheduling,
phone calls with pet owners, collecting monies along with providing cat carriers or dog crates. We also have live traps that
we can loan you for feral cats.
We provide the
transportion, at no cost, on our Community Days to a spay neuter clinic or local veterinary office for spay/neuter surgeries.
We meet pet owners at locations in Greenwood, Martinsville, Mooresville, and/or Plainfield
early morning to pick up pets (7:45 to 8:15), then we return the pets around 6pm the same day. (You do not have to live in
those areas to bring your pet, we have had folks drive to meet us from New Castle, Edinburgh, Rushville, and recently a lady
from southern Illinois who met us in Greenwood to drop off her pets--she spent the day shopping in Greenwood while the cats
were being fixed!) If you live in Johnson, Morgan or Hendricks counties and would like us to come to your town, school,
church to pick up pets for a Community Day please call us.
Purpose
of the "SNIP" Community Spay Neuter Days is to make it convenient for the elderly, persons in rural areas,
or families who have very busy schedules to obtain high quality spay neuter services for their pets at affordable
and lower prices.
This is the fourth year
for this very popular program. Grants and donations from the public are how we are able to keep the surgery costs low
through this program, in an effort to lower pet overpopulation.
Our spay/neuter prices are: Male Cats $30, Female cats $35, Feral Cats $35 (includes rabies, ear
tip), Dogs $50. Limited slots for dogs, call us prior to registering. Our services are for the public only,
they are not available to breeders.
"Beat the Heat" program -- Cat spay or neuter $20 for Johnson, Morgan and Hendricks county
residents on a Community Day.
Indiana
law requires dogs and cats be current on their rabies vaccination, if your pet is not current they can get it the day of surgery
and it is just $10. Either include this in your payment for surgery or you can pay for the rabies vaccination the morning
of surgery.
There is no additional
fee for animals in heat or pregnant! If IV fluids are given you will not be charged!
We post our upcoming Community Days with transportation to
the SPOT clinic near Cloverdale (owned by Dr. Nancy Ferguson, nationally known spay neuter surgeon) or to a private
veterinarian clinic on the South side of Indianapolis, usually a couple weeks prior to the date on this page. You must
register your pet and pay for the surgery at least 2 days prior to any Community Day in order that we can finalize
paperwork.
